What can I calculate?
Sustrax Vita helps estimate a personal or household footprint from home energy and travel. It is a useful starting point for understanding those activities, rather than a complete life-cycle assessment of everything you buy or do.
Before you start
- Choose a period you want to measure, such as the last year.
- Gather electricity and fuel consumption where available.
- Have car mileage or fuel-use information ready.
- List flight routes and public transport journeys for the same period.
Check whether an entry describes one person or the whole household so you interpret the final total consistently.
Understand your result
Your footprint is an estimate based on the data entered and the emission factors applied. Compare the main contributors and consider which activities you can change. If information is missing, improve it before drawing conclusions from small changes in the total.
Can I use Vita for my business?
